In this campaign we see Opie continue to make connections between mainstream and infrequent society, using her specialist skills in portrait photography to create pieces of work relating to sexual identity, by documenting the relationship between the individual and the space inhabited. Creating a series of portraits of Hunter Schafer within an environment, inspired by ‘Hans Holbein’ and synonymous with Opie’s portraits from the 1990’s exploring the LA leather-dyke community, of which she is most famous for.
